“I believe there is no such thing as ‘Unhealthy foods’, only ‘unhealthy diets’”

Before getting into an explanation about my(the?) quote that inspired my whole career, it’s important that we understand the secret behind the relation of the word “Healthy” with food and diet.

When people hear the word diet, they think of a weight loss regiment, or a restriction to eating some types of food, and they miss the fact that food is one of the greatest pleasures in life. However if eaten in a balanced and correct way, most food can form the “healthy” diet that everyone aims for.

Adopting a healthy diet is combining all different kinds of food, including

the basic food groups: proteins such as meat, eggs and dairy, as well as fruits, vegetables, grains, healthy fats and sweets.

I admit that there is no “unhealthy” food unless it has been transformed, so as to fail the healthy recommendations, as is the case with potatoes.

Potatoes are full of nutrition and one of the most healthy vegetables. However, the amount of saturated fat that would be found in them, when fried, would put them in the top 10 unhealthy foods.

As what you put in your body and digest becomes a part of you, it is your choose whether your diet is healthy or not.

Imagine buying a new car and filling it up with the most damaged fuel you can find. Your car might look awesome on the outside, but its engine would not be strong, and with time it will deteriorate.

The same thing happens with your body. Feed it junk and low nutrient foods, and your body will not be strong.

You might look nice, but eating more harmful foods will not allow your body to keep holding up.

The end result could be chronic diseases, premature growing (?) and many other health problems.

In most cases, there’s no need to eliminate

certain kinds of food from your diet. Good food choices are all around us; it’s up to us to know what to choose to create a healthy diet.

When you think about food, Smile!

That’s what, my team and I, are here for. To keep that satisfying feeling inside you, while making you glow on the outside!

Good Day!
